the making of body parts part 1: soles

Nothing special, if you think about it... just fooling around in the studio. I had the idea for some time now and Rudy and Anca helped me execute it....

That's Anca holding the reflector (if it can be called that... it's actually a part of a shoe box with some tin foil wrapped around it), Rudy is behind the camera and I am going numb posing for this. I think it was worth it, though.

A few technical details... this was shot with a Nikon d40 and lit with an sb-600 on a light stand at settings I don't really remeber. We used a green filter for the colour in this one... :D. The lens was a Nikkor 50 1.8 D (love that baby!).

I have a few ideas for part two and three, but I'm not saying anything just yet....

That's why I keep shooting.

I had a bit of fun last night with my camera, my tripod and a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 a friend lent me. Here are some of the shots.

I finally went with the simple version, although in the original project there was a hat and also a mug.
